Pam Cordano, M.F.T.
Sutter Center for Integrative Health
Pam Cordano is a licensed marriage-family therapist who specializes in chronic and life-threatening illnesses. She helps individuals and families navigate the intense emotions and sense of powerlessness that often accompany serious illness. In helping her clients find empowerment and personal meaning during a very difficult time, Cordano incorporates traditional approaches to therapy with somatic practices to build awareness of how one's body, mind, emotions, and spirit work together in life situations. Using this approach, she is able to help individuals integrate authentic experiences, allowing for new choices and increased energy.
Cordano received her bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Davis in 1988 and her master's degree in clinical psychology from New College of California in 1993. From 1997 to 1999, she facilitated self-empowerment groups for adults with cancer and their families at the Cancer Support and Education Center in Menlo Park. Cordano is now in private practice in Davis.
