Christopher Hobbs is an internationally renowned 4th generation botanist, clinical herbalist, author, and licensed acupuncturist. He has dedicated his life to developing a relationship with healing plants for 35 years.
Christopher has written or co-written 24 books on health and herbal medicine, including the mainstream Herbal remedies for Dummies, and with Interweave Press, Natural Liver Therapy, and as co-author of The Botanical Safety Handbook (CRC Press), and The Peterson Field Guide to Medicinal Plants of the Western U.S. (Houghton-Mifflin, with Steven Foster), as well as numerous articles.
As a licensed acupuncturist and primary health-care provider, Christopher combines acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medical treatments, polarity therapy (trained in 1980), health counseling, dietary evaluation, supplement evaluation, and a large range of herbal preparations, many from local sources in his health practice. Preparations of local herbs of the highest quality and freshness, along with the best science-based European phytomedicines, and a few top traditional Chinese herbs are usually custom blended or formulated for individual patients.
Christopher is currently pursuing a graduate degree in medical pharmacology/toxicology in order to help people understand the benefits of choosing herbal remedies as a first line of treatment for many diseases and symptoms.
