Psychotherapy
Sutter Center for Integrative Health
Psychotherapy is a collaborative partnership between an individual and a professional such as a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, or social worker who is licensed and trained to help people overcome a variety of life issues and personal challenges, as well as promote personal grown and development.
Successful psychotherapy is built on the development of a therapeutic relationship that promotes a caring, confidential, and safe environment. Research shows that psychotherapy helps people with issues such as anxiety and depression, relationship struggles, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, and living with chronic illness, while improving overall health and well-being.
