Linda Lazar Allen, CAMT Craniosacral Therapy and Emotional Healing | back to top
Linda works with adults and children and is known for her nurturing touch and ability to discover and gently release tension and trauma in the tissue and nervous system that can cause pain and dysfunction, allowing the entire body to relax and self-correct. She also specializes in working with emotional difficulties such as grief/loss, depression, anxiety and stress.

A journey of healing led Linda to bring her gift of compassionate healing into practice. The diagnosis of cerebral palsy and seizures in her son Kieran led her to CST when western medicine failed to help him. After witnessing CST’s profound effects, she took a class to help her son, only to realize that this was her heart work.

Linda’s inner journey continued with the death of her son at age seven. She once again witnessed the efffects of these therapies in her own healing and grief, notably the depth of emotional healing reached through Heart Centered Therapy (HCT). She now integrates HCT into many of her sessions as a tool to gently help identify and transform the emotional component of disease in the body, without reliving the trauma. She is also a teaching assistant for HCT workshops around the country.

With adults she has treated such diverse conditions as emotional trauma, headaches, pregnancy/postpartum support, vertigo, back pain, joint immobility, and neck pain. Children intuitively feel the effects of her work, which has helped with sensory processing disorders, neurological issues, anxiety, feeding problems, tortocollis, colic, behavior problems, ADD/ADHD, and sleep disorders.

In addition to her Bachelor of Arts, she has advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy, Chikly’s Brain and Neurosystem, Emotional Balancing, Acupressure, Barnes Myofascial Release and Anthroposophic Medicine.

Michael Allen, MD Holistic Pediatrics | back to top
In his 18 years of practicing Pediatrics in Sacramento, Dr Michael Allen has seen how vital it is to nourish and strengthen each child’s inherent healing ability. He offers an integrative approach to medicine that combines the best of Holistic, Anthroposophic and Conventional Pediatrics. Dr. Allen addresses not only symptoms, but strives to identify areas of imbalance by also looking at the physical, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual aspects of health and illness.

The importance of healing the whole person was first imparted on Dr. Allen in medical school at the University of Arizona, where he studied with Dr. Andrew Weil. The need to look beyond conventional medicine came again to Dr Allen through his best teacher, his son Kieran, who was born with cerebral palsy and seizures. When western medicine proved ineffective alone, Dr Allen began learning complementary and alternative treatment modalities to help his son - and they greatly improved his quality of life. Dr Allen soon discovered that the patients in his practice also asked for and benefited from these new techniques and practices.

His son unexpectedly died at age seven. Understanding the gift that his son's life and death brought to him, Dr Allen was then motivated to take a sabbatical and begin a comprehensive study and formal training of Holistic medicine and Anthroposophic Medicine.

Dr. Allen is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified in Holistic Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona School of Medicine in 1989 and completed his internship and residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas in 1992. With his wife Linda, a Craniosacral therapist, he opened the Center for Living Health in 2009.

Bella (Stacey) Dreizler | back to top
I have lived with my family in the Sacramento community since 1972, and my early professional life in physical therapy ran the gamut from pediatrics to home health to acute hospital care. Around 1980, I settled into orthopedics with a specialty in manual therapy, opened Dreizler Physical Therapy in 1990 and offered quality hands-on care to thousands of patients until 2005. When I knew it was time to deliver health care in this community in a new way, I sold the practice. Now in beautiful East Sacramento space, I continue seeing individual clients for holistic physical therapy sessions that focus on hands-on care and educational support for a personal movement practice. Many clients are dance and yoga students.

All this personal change was precipitated by 5Rhythms, a dancing path I continue to immerse in. This moving meditation transformed the way I conceptualized my own body in motion, shifted my work in healing and challenged what I thought I knew about who I was, my relationship to other people and what I was doing in this community. In 2008 I received certification to teach 5Rhythms. Classes focus on full embodiment and it truly feels like I am providing health care in a unique and very effective manner. I am also drawn to the practice and teaching of yoga. My studies in kundalini, Iyengar and yin have expanded what I know about the body. The yoga classes I offer blend the pragmatic wisdom of physical therapy and the spirit of yoga. The website www.bodyjoy.net will introduce you to all the facets of my active professional life. To make an appointment with me, please call 916-267-5478.

Sarah Jones, M.D. | back to top
Dr. Sarah Jones joined the faculty of the Sutter Family Medicine Residency Program in 2007, after serving in the US Air Force for eleven years as a family physician and faculty at two Air Force residency programs. She values caring for the "whole" person across his or her lifetime and for helping individuals achieve balance in their physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Sarah's interest in medical acupuncture developed with the realization that many patients suffered from pain, but couldn’t tolerate the side effects of traditional medications. She completed medical acupuncture training at the UCLA/Helms Medical Institute in 2005 and helped start the first acupuncture clinic at Travis Air Force Base that summer. Within her family medicine practice, she incorporates acupuncture as an adjunctive treatment modality for patients presenting with a variety of symptoms or diagnoses. Treatments are individually based. Sarah is always gratified to hear patients positively report such outcomes as reduced pain, reduced medication use, improved energy and sleep, and a renewed sense of well-being and calm.

Dr. Jones is board-certified in Family Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. She earned her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in 1996 and completed her internship and residency at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland in 1999. When she is not working in the office or hospital, Sarah strives to achieve and maintain balance by staying active with her husband and four children, volunteering in her church and community, and expressing herself through photography and music. To schedule a private consultation, ask your physician for a referral, or call her office at 916-451-4400.

Kandeel (Kay) Judge, M.D., Medical Consultations | back to top
Kay is a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist who brings her interest in traditional practices to her patients. Her goal is to help her patients find balance between mind, body, emotions and spirit so that they can attain their fullest potential as human beings. Dr. Judge received her medical training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She was a senior staff physician and teaching attending at Henry Ford Hospital prior to joining Sutter Medical Group in 2003.

During her office visits, Dr. Judge believes in creating a supportive environment which empowers her patients to search for their own healing process. This is achieved by giving recommendations based on a combination of conventional (western) medicine, health and lifestyle modifications and alternative treatment options. Since all treatment modalities do not fit all illnesses, a combination of conventional medicine as well as alternative modalities are applied to optimize the process of healing. To schedule a medical consultation, call Dr. Judge at (916) 733-8713.
