Nate Hitzeman (Class of 2005) participated in the Shoulder to Shoulder medical mission to Santa Ana, Honduras, in Spring 2005.
Nate volunteered with over a dozen medical students, optometry students, residents, and faculty.
Medications were dispensed to an ever-present crowd of patients.
Nate removed a larva of some kind from this kid’s scalp.
The kids were happy. Here they are catching blossoms falling from a tree.
Homes were rustic and domestic animals roamed freely.
The locals were friendly and waved when Nate joined them to bathe.
